In this article, we will show you how to use this DVD to create a dual-boot system with Windows and Mac OS X on your PC.
What You Need
A PC with an Intel or AMD processor that supports SSE2 and SSE3 instructions. You can check this with CPU-Z.
A DVD burner and a blank DVD.
A copy of Kalyway 1052 DVD Intel Amdiso24. You can download it from here or here.
A backup of your important data on your PC.
A partition or a hard drive where you want to install Mac OS X. It should be formatted as FAT32 or NTFS.
Step 1: Burn the DVD
Use your favorite burning software to burn the Kalyway 1052 DVD Intel Amdiso24 image to a blank DVD. Make sure you burn it as an ISO image, not as a data disc.
Step 2: Boot from the DVD
Insert the DVD into your PC and restart it. Press the key that allows you to enter the BIOS setup (usually F2, F10, F12, or Del). Change the boot order so that the DVD drive is the first boot device. Save and exit the BIOS setup.
Your PC should now boot from the DVD and display a Darwin boot loader screen. Press F8 to enter some boot options. Type -v and press Enter. This will enable verbose mode, which will show you what is happening during the boot process.
Step 3: Install Mac OS X
After a few minutes, you should see the Mac OS X installer screen. Choose your language and click Continue. Accept the license agreement and click Continue. Click Utilities and then Disk Utility. Select the partition or hard drive where you want to install Mac OS X and click Erase. Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format and give it a name. Click Erase and then Close Disk Utility.
Click Continue and then Customize. Here you can choose which components you want to install. You must select at least one kernel, one graphics driver, one audio driver, and one network driver that are compatible with your hardware. You can find more information about these options on this forum thread. Click Done and then Install.
The installation process will take some time, depending on your hardware and the options you selected. When it is finished, click Restart.
Step 4: Configure Mac OS X
Your PC should now boot into Mac OS X. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your user account, keyboard layout, time zone, etc. You can also update your system to the latest version of Mac OS X 10.5.8 using Software Update.
Step 5: Enjoy Your Dual-Boot System
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Mac OS X Leopard on your PC with Kalyway 1052 DVD Intel Amdiso24. You can now enjoy both Windows and Mac OS X on your PC by choosing which one to boot from the Darwin boot loader screen. aa16f39245
